I always get super excited when I get an inquiry for a September wedding because that’s the month that I married the love of my life (and best friend) Jake. So when Meagan & Brian told me that they were getting married at the Historic O’Keefe Ranch in Vernon in September I intently knew that this wedding was going to be a photographer’s dream.

O’Keefe Ranch is an awesome wedding venue that lends itself to a variety of shooting locations, with an overall rustic appeal. The little white church is as charming as it is old.

This winter Silver Star wedding was literally picture perfect, and could easily have been a wedding straight off of Pinterest. Samantha was one of the kindest brides I have had the pleasure of meeting and she truly met her perfect match with Chris. The day started off with a beautifully decorated gold Christmas tree for family formals, snuggles and well wishes from the family pooches, a heartwarming first look behind the lodge, snowy bridal and family photos on the Silver Star slopes that all eventually lead to an intimate family candle and twinkle light ceremony where the bride sang her vows to her husband to be.

Well this was officially my very first wedding… I would like to personally reach out to Ryan & Jessica (aka Beck) to thank them for taking a chance on me and  giving me the opportunity to capture their very important day.

Beck even trusted me enough to do her makeup, with such a beautiful specimen I really couldn’t mess anything up. The guys were a blast to hang out with as they were getting ready. My second shooter and I have gotten lots of practice tying ties, pinning boutonnieres and hemming pants.
