We first met this beautiful couple at the Hotel Eldorado, Kelowna many months before their wedding to see how well we clicked. What was intended as a quick meet-up turned into dinner lasting a couple hours. Their love of dogs was any easy conversation to start up as Taylor was wearing his custom screen-printed Vans, with a picture of their dog Mollie on both shoes. It’s always great to spend time with couples, learning about their lives, and how they met. We do it as often as possible!

Kaitlin and Tyler’s big day was here and there was rain in the forecast! The wedding couple opted to do a first look and all of the wedding party photos before the ceremony – a decision that proved very wise! The clouds gave us some amazingly epic light before the rain came. Kaitlin wore a gorgeous A-line, lace and tulle wedding dress complete with a veil and crystal beaded belt. The veil had a delicate beaded edge, and when Kaitlin removed it during the evening she replaced it with her crystal belt, using it as a hair piece. Kaitlin and Tyler met us at a secret location in Kelowna; a park with sprawling trees and a turtle filled pond. It’s a great little location with a variety of beautiful photo spots. It’s also a great place to bring a dog, when couples want to include their furry family members in their photos. Kaitlin and Tyler’s dog Zeppelin was looking dapper and freshly groomed for this engagement shoot. This amazing couple is also planning to let Zeppelin made an appearance in the wedding party photos on the big day.

As an Okanagan based maternity photographer I knew when I saw this perfect little heart shaped carving in a near by tree that I absolutely had to have it in this photo shoot.

Achromatic White & Crystal Wedding | Penticton BC | Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer

White is an achromatic color, meaning a color without hue, but there is nothing lacking when it came to this wedding inspirational shoot.

With styling by White Event Studio, this beautifully simplistic & romantic shoot had a cloud-like feel and it gave the whole environment a poetic vibe. It featured a beautiful soft blush tulle gown by Cinobi and florals by one of my personal favorite vendors from Vancouver: Celsia Floral.

The table setting was adorned with crystals, vintage silver cutlery, and mother of pearl charger plates. With layers upon layers of soft muted tonal white and blush, it was a modern take on a romantic colour pallet.
