Jessie & Jasneet | Buntzen Lake | Vancouver | Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer
With covid being such an accelerator of relationships, we saw a lot more proposals, engagements, and intimate elopements this year, and let me just say that I am absolutely here for it! I have been pleasantly surprised with how many wonderful boyfriends (now fiances) have taken it upon themselves to plan such beautiful, meaningful moments for their proposal.
I had Jessie reach out to me when they had a Kelowna venue booked for the surprise proposal, but unfortunately with all of the restrictions changing every day, they had to cancel their trip to Kelowna. Luckily I was free to come to them in Vancouver! The florist, the decorator, and I hopped in an SUV packed to the windows with a ...

Lauren & Ed | Boho | Sanctuary Gardens | Kelowna | Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer
I do miss the fun party-style events, but there is just something magical about elopements and only having those closest to you on your wedding day.
Lauren & Ed were definitely my “trend-setting” couple. The two of them chose so many great little details that were way ahead of everyone else. One of my favorites (among many) was the fact that they chose to get ready together. They said they already spend all their time together being best friends so why should they be apart on their wedding day. It’s funny how it had never dawned on me to do this before, and it made for some authentic moments between the two of them. You never have to do anything ...

Colin & Jacqui | Painted Rock | Penticton | Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer
Getting ready is one of my favorite times on the wedding day. I get to see the bride and groom first thing as the day starts and I get time to sip a coffee and capture all of the little details you have gathered for your wedding. Perfume bottles, earrings, veils, invitations, cufflinks and shoes, bridesmaids gifts, hair, and makeup are all a part of the lead-up to your vows and I love every minute of it.
One tip I always give my brides is to think about a “signature scent”. Your sense of smell is closely tied you your long-term memory so by choosing a perfume that you use on special occasions, like your engagement and wedding day, you ...

Colin & Jacqui | Kelowna | Fine Art Film Engagement Photographer
Jacqui & Coli are true foodies at heart so right away I knew we were going to be great friends. When planning their engagement session they told me that they liked fall colours and wine so I thought a charcuterie picnic amongst the fall foliage was the way to go.
The wine glasses were made and given to them as an engagement gift from a friend and they brought along a bottle of Hester Creek red wine that they had been saving for a special occasion. Every detail was attended to and they even matched their engagement outfits perfectly to the fall palette. Colin had a pop of red (socks) in his outfit to compliment his fiancé, and Jacqui chose ...

Lindsay & Taylor | OAK Estate | Summerland BC | Wedding Photographer
We first met this beautiful couple at the Hotel Eldorado, Kelowna many months before their wedding to see how well we clicked. What was intended as a quick meet-up turned into dinner lasting a couple hours. Their love of dogs was any easy conversation to start up as Taylor was wearing his custom screen-printed Vans, with a picture of their dog Mollie on both shoes. It’s always great to spend time with couples, learning about their lives, and how they met. We do it as often as possible!
Coming from Calgary the Bride & Groom planned every little, thoughfull, stunning detail for their destination wedding in Summerland, BC. Their wedding vendor team was on point and their estate winery venue ...
