Kaitlin & Tyler | Sunset Ranch Golf Course | Kelowna BC | Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer
August 1st, 2018 by jenniferKaitlin and Tyler’s big day was here and there was rain in the forecast! The wedding couple opted to do a first look and all of the wedding party photos before the ceremony – a decision that proved very wise! The clouds gave us some amazingly epic light before the rain came. Kaitlin wore a gorgeous A-line, lace and tulle wedding dress complete with a veil and crystal beaded belt. The veil had a delicate beaded edge, and when Kaitlin removed it during the evening she replaced it with her crystal belt, using it as a hair piece. Her bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses that looked amazing and carried bouquets made by the bride herself. We stopped off at an orchard on the way to the venue to get the bride and groom to pose with some apples, to match their engagement shoot.
The wedding venue was at Sunset Ranch Golf Course, a place we love to photograph. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating, and the food is top notch. The clouds darkened as we made our way to Sunset Ranch and the staff quickly moved things indoors to keep the ceremony dry. The rain was short lived, so we took the family outside to complete the photos. Our gorgeous Okanagan sunsets are well showcased at Sunset Ranch with picturesque views to the west.
They were such a lovely, close family. The speeches were hilarious and tear-jerking; you could feel so much love in all the words spoken for the bride and groom that night. A beautiful evening for a beautiful couples, lots of love to Kaitlin and Tyler.

K & T Engagement
Kaitlin & Tyler | Kelowna BC | Fine Art Film Engagement Photographer
September 5th, 2017 by jenniferKaitlin and Tyler met us at a secret location in Kelowna; a park with sprawling trees and a turtle filled pond. It’s a great little location with a variety of beautiful photo spots. It’s also a great place to bring a dog, when couples want to include their furry family members in their photos. Kaitlin and Tyler’s dog Zeppelin was looking dapper and freshly groomed for this engagement shoot. This amazing couple is also planning to let Zeppelin made an appearance in the wedding party photos on the big day.
We would later move to another location beside an apple orchard for a little Okanagan flair. While taking pictures a charismatic farmer showed up on a tractor, blasting music from his stereo. He offered his congratulations and even asked if they wanted to pose on the tractor!
Kaitlin wore cowboy boots for the shoot and would wear them on her wedding day. I love when couples add that kind of personality!

Meagan & Brian Proposal Story | Knox Mountain | Kelowna BC | Engagement Photographer
June 12th, 2016 by jenniferI live for a good love story. I get the all caps LOVE kind of feeling for the journey that my couples go through before I meet them. So when Meagan & Brian told me their story I think I actually squealed with joy over how adorable it was.
How They Met
It all started with a Christmas party and a coworker in need. Meagan is a registered nurse (pretty much Wonder Woman) and one of her fellow co-workers wanted to find someone to accompany her boyfriend’s friend to a firefighters Christmas party. There was no way that she was going to pass up the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of firefighters! So her co-worker sent this mystery man Meagan’s number. One text lead to another… one lunch date and a Christmas party later they were engaged just shy of a year to the date.
How He Asked
Brian decided to take Meagan and their adorable little puggle ‘Abby’ up to Silver Star Mountain after a fresh snowfall. Little did Meagan know that Brian had purchased a new collar and tag that read “will you marry me?”. Meagan held Abby to look at her new tag and with the softly falling snow and lights overhead Brian went on one knee and asked the question with a stunning emerald cut halo diamond engagement ring.
A true fairy tale engagement proposal! How can you not grin from ear to ear after hearing about their beginning?
I was so immensely touched that they chose me to photograph their engagement session and cover the wedding photography in September. Watching this couple grow and having them choose me to capture all their family milestones has been a highlight of my photography career. I am truly honored to be able to capture these amazing mile marker moments.
