Jessie & Jasneet | Buntzen Lake | Vancouver | Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer
May 7th, 2021 by jenniferWith covid being such an accelerator of relationships, we saw a lot more proposals, engagements, and intimate elopements this year, and let me just say that I am absolutely here for it! I have been pleasantly surprised with how many wonderful boyfriends (now fiances) have taken it upon themselves to plan such beautiful, meaningful moments for their proposal.
I had Jessie reach out to me when they had a Kelowna venue booked for the surprise proposal, but unfortunately with all of the restrictions changing every day, they had to cancel their trip to Kelowna. Luckily I was free to come to them in Vancouver! The florist, the decorator, and I hopped in an SUV packed to the windows with a stunning setup inspired by Jessie for the love of his life.
The custom setup was a dream come true with orange and cream roses, and white structured arches framing the breathtaking mountains & lake. You might not have guessed that we were in Port Moody, just outside of Vancouver with how picturesque the setting was.
The sun kept peeking in & out of the clouds to give us a mix of full sun, and overcast light. The strength of shooting film is being able to keep up with such extremes and I am very grateful to have this forgiving photography medium in my life because the photos are absolutely dreamy.
I am also very grateful to Jessie & Jasneet for being such an amazing couple and allowing me to capture such a special moment for the two of you!
