Mimi & Kenny | Cedar Creek, Bertram & Tower Ranch | Kelowna BC | Engagement Photography

January 30th, 2017 by

Mimi, my bride-to-be, had a very particular vision in mind for her photo shoot and my regular 1 hr engagement session wasn’t going to cut it. After discussing with Mimi her ideal Okanagan engagement photography session I set out to find the perfect props & settings. I managed to sorce out a vintage row boat in Lake Country, a horse and a Kelowna vineyard where I was able to take an aerial shot of the Okanagan vines, the lake and to top it all off – those picturesque mountains. Since I only take on one shoot per day I have the flexibility to make a photo session longer or shorter if the need arises.

Both Kenny and Mimi wore traditional outfits for both of their heritages as well as a couple more conventional outfits including a custom made red dress with an amazingly long and flowy train that made for some gorgeous movement in the photos.

It’s important to me, as a Kelowna engagement & wedding photographer, that I can bring my couples to the special locations around the Okanagan to showcase their love for one another in this beautiful place I call home.

I absolutely fell in love with Mimi’s “Sophia Webster” Rose Gold pumps with black flamingo pin heels! I mean could these shoes get any better?!

Family Winter Shoot | Kelowna BC | Fine Art Film Photographer

January 8th, 2017 by

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean we can’t find ways to get all warm and fuzzy, and this winter family shoot was chock-full of the warm and fuzzies. I met Natalie at a girl’s night at Moxie’s here in Kelowna. She was one Yuriko’s (Vintage Origami) past brides and was in need of a night out. We hit it off right away and immediately stated to plan a winter family shoot.

We met at a location that the family frequently visits to go on hikes.

It’s rare to have a perfectly happy baby the entire duration of a photo shoot, but this little one was an absolute angel – smiling the whole time. Even though it was a little chilly out, she didn’t put up a fuss all bundled up in her tiny snow suit and cute knitted cap.

New mom Natalie brought a faux-fur blanket to keep baby Tennley (‘T’ for short) bundled up on her adorable sleigh. T was ecstatic despite the cold! Even the pooch was thrilled to see familiar hiking trails blanketed in snow.
