Baby Bram | Studio | Kelowna BC | Newborn Photographer
September 25th, 2016 by jenniferThis little guy is my friend’s 2nd child and I was so excited to photograph the cutie pie in my new studio! He was a perfect little sleeper and he even let us go full commando!
I picked up this adorable handmade little lion bonnet just for this studio session and I am glad that I did. May this beautiful little baby be brave in all things in life!
I also love my little newspaper print wrap because it’s so neutral and will go with anything – plus it’s super cute “read all about it!”
At the end of the session if Mama and Papa are feeling up for it I always try to snag a few photos in a “window light” style setting. You might not always feel up to it right then, but I have had countless parents thank me later. After all these little ones never stay this little for long.

Meagan & Brian | Historic O’Keefe Ranch | Vernon BC | Wedding Photographer
September 10th, 2016 by jenniferI always get super excited when I get an inquiry for a September wedding because that’s the month that I married the love of my life (and best friend) Jake. So when Meagan & Brian told me that they were getting married at the Historic O’Keefe Ranch in Vernon in September I intently knew that this wedding was going to be a photographer’s dream.
O’Keefe Ranch is an awesome wedding venue that lends itself to a variety of shooting locations, with an overall rustic appeal. The little white church is as charming as it is old.
The girls got ready at The Castle at Swan Lake. Their room had a gorgeous loft that gifted us with tons of natural light. The ambient lighting really lets you get those bright, dramatic shots that we all love.
As a nod (and a wink) to her Irish heritage Meagan wore a Celtic knot wedding garter belt and custom watercolour-floral, embroidered robes were gifted to each of her bridesmaids. Brian had gave each of his groomsman superhero cuff links and brought his rugby ball to put a non-traditional spin on the garter belt toss.
Brian hand wrote Meagan a heartfelt love letter that he gave her to read the morning of their wedding. We decided that she should read the note alone, without distraction, so that she could really take in the moment before I started clicking the camera at her. She was looking radiant and incredibly ready to marry her soul mate.
Meagan’s girls wore pink floor length chiffon bridesmaid’s dresses and the groomsmen wore matching pink ties to bring it all together.
I wish I had a behind the scenes photo of me standing on my tipy-toes on the very top rung of a ladder making sure to get the perfect angle for the wedding party photos – it was 100% worth it for the shot!
I’m even on the O’Keefe Ranch preferred vendor list because Meagan & Brian rocked each shot so well and their wedding was so beautifully inspiring.
