I do miss the fun party-style events, but there is just something magical about elopements and only having those closest to you on your wedding day.

Lauren & Ed were definitely my “trend-setting” couple. The two of them chose so many great little details that were way ahead of everyone else. One of my favorites (among many) was the fact that they chose to get ready together. They said they already spend all their time together being best friends so why should they be apart on their wedding day. It’s funny how it had never dawned on me to do this before, and it made for some authentic moments between the two of them. You never have to do anything on your wedding day “just because” someone else has done it, or “that’s just what you do”, its your day. Create something unique that fits your love.

The bride had her grandmother’s Birks silver vintage ring box so she could have her close on the day.

L&E had booked me in 2019, so a little before the whole world stopped. They always had it in the cards to do a small 4 person ceremony on July 15th and a reception with guests on the 18th. It was kinda funny how they had planned an elopement before elopements were really even happening (see trendsetters).
