Getting ready is one of my favorite times on the wedding day. I get to see the bride and groom first thing as the day starts and I get time to sip a coffee and capture all of the little details you have gathered for your wedding. Perfume bottles, earrings, veils, invitations, cufflinks and shoes, bridesmaids gifts, hair, and makeup are all a part of the lead-up to your vows and I love every minute of it.

We first met this beautiful couple at the Hotel Eldorado, Kelowna many months before their wedding to see how well we clicked. What was intended as a quick meet-up turned into dinner lasting a couple hours. Their love of dogs was any easy conversation to start up as Taylor was wearing his custom screen-printed Vans, with a picture of their dog Mollie on both shoes. Kaitlin and Tyler’s big day was here and there was rain in the forecast! The wedding couple opted to do a first look and all of the wedding party photos before the ceremony – a decision that proved very wise! The clouds gave us some amazingly epic light before the rain came. Kaitlin wore a gorgeous A-line, lace and tulle wedding dress complete with a veil and crystal beaded belt. The veil had a delicate beaded edge, and when Kaitlin removed it during the evening she replaced it with her crystal belt, using it as a hair piece.
