We first met this beautiful couple at the Hotel Eldorado, Kelowna many months before their wedding to see how well we clicked. What was intended as a quick meet-up turned into dinner lasting a couple hours. Their love of dogs was any easy conversation to start up as Taylor was wearing his custom screen-printed Vans, with a picture of their dog Mollie on both shoes. It’s always great to spend time with couples, learning about their lives, and how they met. We do it as often as possible!

Nancy & Jason were the sweetest couple and their elderly pooch named “Diamond” walked down the aisle to make sure these two were happily joined under the arch at The Cove Lakeside Resort. It was a beautiful Okanagan summer day and one of their loving family members took Diamond for the ceremony to keep her in the shade.

Nancy wore designer Badgley Mischka peep toe wedding shoes (Gillian Ankle Strap Evening Shoe) that were just to die for! An amazing arrangement of pink peonies, O’hara garden roses (my favorite), and white dahlias made up her gorgeous bouquet.

This real couple Emily & Carter stole the show with the love they had for one another and were the perfect match for this floral “Summer Blues” inspired shoot. The two-piece wedding dress was made locally here in Kelowna BC by the talented Lisa from Lillian Wild and the soft blue tones of tulle paired perfectly with the whimsical pink bouquet that was made by an immensely artistic florist from Ivy May Floral. This soft romantic bridal look was seamlessly brought together by the makeup artist Kathryn Ramsay who has perfectly mastered that “bridal glow” that everyone wants on their wedding day.

This photo shoot had a focus on the design and decor, as Vintage Origami asked me to snap some film of this stunning and intimate elopement. The wedding party was only 6 people, and took place at Mackie Lake House in Vernon, BC. Every single detail was perfect: The canopy and wreaths utilizing hop vines was something I’d never seen before and so romantic! The rest of the florals we breathtaking; the floral arrangements that “Crocus Floral” did for this wedding won the 2017 BC Wedding awards for “Best wedding florist overall” utilizing local apple branches with fruit still on the branches.
